Program Overview
Our Certified Nursing Assistant program provides the foundational knowledge and hands-on clinical skills required to obtain state CNA certification and begin your career in patient care.
The program blends classroom instruction with supervised clinical lab hours to ensure students are fully prepared for both the written and skills portions of the state certification exam.
Curriculum
What You'll Study
Introduction to Healthcare & Patient Care
Overview of the healthcare system, roles, and responsibilities of a CNA, patient rights, and legal/ethical principles.
Infection Control & Safety
Standard precautions, handwashing, personal protective equipment (PPE), and workplace safety protocols.
Vital Signs & Patient Monitoring
Measuring temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation with proper documentation.
Personal Care & Activities of Daily Living
Bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, toileting, and supporting patient dignity during personal care.
Nutrition, Hydration & Feeding
Understanding dietary needs, assisting with meals, monitoring fluid intake and output, and special diets.
Restorative & Rehabilitative Care
Range of motion exercises, positioning, transferring patients, and supporting functional independence.
Communication & Documentation
Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams; proper reporting and charting practices.
Clinical Skills Lab & Certification Prep
Supervised hands-on clinical practice and structured preparation for the state CNA written and skills exams.
Admission Requirements
Who Can Apply
Our program is open to motivated individuals who meet the basic eligibility requirements below. No prior healthcare experience is necessary.
High School Diploma or GED
Applicants must have completed high school education or equivalent.
Valid Government ID
A current, valid government-issued photo identification is required.
Background Check
All students are required to pass a criminal background check prior to clinical placement.
Health Clearance
Proof of required immunizations and a physical exam may be required for clinical hours.
Completed Application
Submission of the enrollment application form along with a non-refundable registration fee.
